SPRING SEASON RECREATIONAL PROGRAM
Chargers Soccer Club of Tampa wants to give the game of soccer back to the players. Past generations
learned to play the game on their own with other kids in the neighborhood or at school in these
organized games. Today youth sports are overly adult controlled and influenced. It’s difficult today for
youngsters to have a pick-up game since the streets have too many cars, the sandlot now has a mini
mall on it and parents are reluctant, with good cause, to let their child go blocks away from home on
Saturday to play in a game on his or her own. The Spring Season Program is a way for us to give the
game back to the players in the community. The club will provide the fields and the possibility of
mixing playing levels and genders. It can be used to assist with player development, player
identification and player selection. Mostly it is a chance for players to play the game for FUN of the
game. It brings together children, parents, coaches, and volunteers. Soccer is the common language,
and the soccer ground is an arena for social inclusion. Referees are NOT needed, since these rules are
meant to teach self-responsibility and fair play, with the implied agenda of improving the player’s
competences in non-violent communication and conflict resolution.
Training and Games will be at the Benito Middle School 10065 Cross Creek Blvd. Tampa FL 33647
and/or New Tampa Community Park (NTCP) 17302 Commerce Park Blvd., Tampa, FL 33647 (This
will be determined based on the # of players registered.
Players will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays and play a game
on Saturdays.
Our 6 WEEKS In-house Recreational Program is for children between the ages of U5 (Born in 2020) to

CAN I BE A VOLUNTEER HEAD COACH?
** CLICK HERE TO REGISTER AS A HEAD COACH**
Volunteer head coaches are essential to the success of our recreational program. It is for that reason
that, in order to assist our volunteer head coaches, we offer coaching clinics, reference material, and
the opportunity to attend club team training sessions to help to enhance their knowledge of the game
and facilitate the overall experience for all players through your own development as a parent coach.
We would love you to consider coaching your child’s team as you will treasure this unique experience.
Our coaches are provided with all the necessary training gear: Soccer balls, cones, vests (colored mesh
shirts to divide teams into smaller groups).
All Volunteer Coaches will be required to submit to a Level 2 Background Screening, including fingerprinting.
If you are interested in coaching or have any questions, please feel free to contact Maggie Pesaresi,
Program Administrator, at Maggie@ChargersSoccer.com.
REFUND POLICY
Chargers S.C. reserves the right to deny any partial or full registration fees once registration and
payment has been completed (payment is due at time of registration).
However, in cases of reasonable documented excuse (illness, severe injury, family relocation, etc.)

FIELDS/EQUIPMENT/FACILITIES
Chargers S.C. do not own the fields on which we train and play. We use, help maintain and manage the
City of Tampa and Hillsborough County School District facilities. In order to maintain good working
relationships with the field owners, we ask that all players, parents, and spectators follow all county
and city ordinances in effect. This includes the prohibition of alcoholic beverages and animals on the
park grounds and smoking inside the playing field fence.
TAMPA REC FIELD STATUS AND WEATHER CANCELATION POLICY
It is important to note that we will not cancel sessions prior to the scheduled session time due to
weather unless it is obvious that the severe weather or field conditions will interfere with
training/game.
In order to ensure safe playing conditions for our players and to protect the integrity and structure of
our fields, games or training sessions can be canceled under the following circumstances:
As soon as training/games are canceled the decision will be communicated via email to all
registered players via the primary email account on file on our registration system
(GotSport).
Canceled sessions due to any of the reasons above may not be rescheduled.
