The Lakewood Ranch Chargers SC Recreation program is one of the fastest growing recreational programs in Lakewood Ranch. Our volunteer based program provides a fun and safe environment for children of all experience levels ages 4 and up to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.

Our Recreation soccer program is not about winning! The emphasis is on participation, learning and acquiring life skills that will go a long way on and off the pitch. Providing great value, with fields conveniently located at the beautiful Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch our club has a program that is ideal for your child regardless of their level of play.

The LWR Chargers SC recreation soccer program consists of two seasons - Fall and Spring.

Spring Season 2025:

• ·       Practices will start on March 3, 2025.

• ·       Practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. All teams will practice once per week.

• ·      Games will start on March 15. We plan to have an eight-game season and the exact game dates will be announced closer to the start of the season.

• ·       Most games will be played on Saturdays in the morning or in the early afternoon. Some games might be scheduled for Sundays in the early afternoon. 

• ·       Age groups: Teams will be formed in combined age groups as follows:

o   U4 – U5 – U6 (Birth years 2021, 2020, 2019).  Max # of registrations: 64

o   U7 – U8 (Birth years 2018, 2017). Max # of registrations: 130

o   U9 – U10 (Birth years 2016, 2015). Max # of registrations: 130

o   U11 – U12 (Birth years 2014, 2013). Max # of registrations: 130

Program Description

The LWR Chargers SC wants to provide to the members of the Homeschool Community with an opportunity to be physically active, in an organized and fun environment. While our main tool is soccer, the program will include also important elements of Physical Education ( Physical Capacities [endurance, strength, speed] and Coordinative Capacities [space and time awareness, speed of reaction, balance, rhythm, anticipation]).   

The sessions will include activities to improve the technical elements of soccer and, always, fun small-sided games.

The Fal Recreational Program is closed.

The Advanced Development Program (ADP) is ONLY open to our current recreational soccer players. 

The LWR Chargers SC Advanced Development Program (ADP) is designed to challenge players to grow technically, tactically, and mentally. We foster a very competitive environment within training to allow players to be challenged and raise their level of technical awareness and it is designed to challenge players to grow technically, tactically, and mentally. 

Within the ADP the coaches focus on building the foundation into the players through the Technical Training and prepare the players for the next level. The ADP is geared towards players who are committed to soccer and are looking to be challenged.
