TAMPA, Fla. - The Chargers SC U12 Tampa girls took home the championship at this past weekend’s Kick or Treat Cup hosted by the Houston Dynamo-Tampa. Coach Richard Chisholm’s squad defeated the Dynamo-Tampa Orange girls 1-0 in a thrilling overtime match in Sunday’s title game.

The Chargers won their group with a 2-0-1 mark in pool play, opening with a 2-2 tie vs. the Dynamo on Saturday, followed by a 1-0 victory vs. the West Pasco FC Thunder. They concluded group play with another 1-0 victory - this time against the Wesley Chapel Flames - on Sunday morning. The results set up a championship game with Houston Dynamo in a rematch of Game 1 of pool play.

Also taking home titles were the U12 Lakewood Ranch Chargers Boys Red, who defeated the Dynamo-South 2-0 in the title game, and the U10 Tampa Chargers boys, who finished 2-0-2 in pool play to take the trophy.
