CLEARWATER, Fla. - A pair of Chargers SC teams are still alive heading into the 2013 Florida State Cup Final Four, which is set for May 18-19 at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale.

Leading the way into the Final Four is the Clearwater U18 Girls, coached by Siggi Nagele, who advanced with a 3-0 win vs. the Florida Fire Juniors and a 2-1 victory against TBU Premier. They will face Pinecreat Premier in the state semifinals.

Also advancing to the Final Four are the U13 Lakewood Ranch boys coached by Tim Mulqueen. They started the weekend with a 3-0 win against Wellington, which set up a round of eight meeting against the Chargers SC Clearwater U13 Boys, coached by Ken Jewell.

Lakewood Ranch came out on top and will face coral Gables in the state semifinal.

Also advancing past Saturday’s round of 16 was the U14 Tampa Girls, who defeated Clay County 1-0 before falling on Sunday vs. TBU.
